Colors of Compassion stands as a testament to a lifelong passion for advocacy, ignited by a profound partnership. Our journey began with our founder and the late Vic Lantion, who together championed student rights in the Philippines. This shared drive continued into their medical careers, expanding to build healthier communities at the grassroots level and tackle vital issues like gender equity and social justice.

Eric Dizon
Eric is the Leadership Pastor at The Bridge International Church and a passionate advocate for community. He co-founded MissionsPH Foundation of Alberta, supporting Filipino communities in Calgary and the Philippines. Since 2014, Eric has served as an outreach worker in Southeast Calgary, building strong ties with ethnocultural communities. He holds a Behavioral Science degree and is completing his Master of Divinity, with additional non-profit leadership training from the University of Calgary.

Milleth Tortal
Emmelita (Milleth) Tortal brings over 15 years of leadership experience in Cambodia’s hospitality and consulting industries, where she was known for driving growth and building strong teams. A former head of the Filipino Association in Cambodia, she passionately supported fellow migrants. Now in Canada, Milleth continues her leadership in hospitality and, as a certified immigration assistant, leverages her expertise to help Filipino newcomers.

Adanech Sahili
Adanech Sahilie is the Founder and Executive Director of the Immigrant Outreach Society (IOS), a Black-led, community-based organization dedicated to supporting East African refugees. Adi is widely recognized as a respected leader in Calgary’s Black community. She’s dedicated to advocacy, social change, and empowering communities. Her impactful work has earned widespread recognition.
In addition to her role at IOS, Adi has been a member of the Calgary Police Service’s Anti-Racism Action Committee since 2020.

Dolly Castillo
Dolly Punsalan Castillo has been a dedicated community and church volunteer leader in Calgary for over four decades. Retired from a successful oil industry career, she’s served numerous non-profits, including the Centre for Newcomers, Babae: Council of Filipina Canadian Women, CAFFA, the Filipino Catholic Society, and Colors of Compassion, passionately mentoring and supporting fellow community members.
